0

Air Products “cold zone” is on the road again, making its next stop at Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America in Boston, Massachusetts.

Held from the 16th to the 18th of March, seafood processors will discover how the company’s cryogenic food freezing and chilling solutions can help them improve production rates and capacities, improve yields, and produce quality products at lower costs.

On display in the “Cold Zone” will be Air Products’ Freshline® QS tunnel freezer, an easy-to-operate, quick-start cryogenic freezing system that is ideal for seafood processors who want to convert to continuous freezing, alleviate a bottleneck in their operation, or grow and diversify their existing product line. Other freezing systems available from the company include the highly flexible Freshline® DM freezer, which allows manufacturers to process both IQF and flat or trayed products in a single machine, and the highly efficient Freshline® MP freezer, which incorporates exceptional heat transfer and the latest international hygiene standards.

As a leader in cryogenic technology applications, Air Products has the gases, equipment, and know-how to help seafood processors address some of their toughest challenges. Seafood Expo attendees can stop by the Air Products Cold Zone at booth 1476 to speak with a food specialist about the company’s solutions for cooling or freezing products continuously or in batches; producing value-added products, such as battered, marinated, or ready-to-cook items; packaging fresh seafood to increase shelf life and distribution radius; or processing IQF (individually quick frozen) food products efficiently while retaining shape, texture, and taste, even when the product is coated in a sauce or has a high water content. With food laboratories in the US, Europe, and Asia, the company can test a customer’s product on commercial-scale equipment to determine the feasibility of using of using cryogenic freezing or chilling for their specific process.
