Air Products awarded Unprecedented Safety at European sites

The European Industrial Gases Association (EIGA) has awarded 17 Air Products facilities across Europe for Unprecedented Safety.

The 17 facilities, including Gold awards at 8 sites, have been recognised for their continued efforts in operational safety.

The Company’s Gold award winning facilities received the award in recognition of 15 years or more service without any loss-time incidents, or for 1.5 million employees hours worked without employee incident. EIGA also recognised 5 Air Products sites with their silver award and 5 with the bronze award.

Air Products’ Mark Begg, Director of Environment, Health, Safety and Quality, Europe, commented, “The respective facility teams should be very proud of all their hard work that has gone towards receiving this award. For operational facilities to reach such landmark times without employee incident, there needs to be a lot of commitment and respect for safety in the workplace. Air Products endeavour’s to make safety in the workplace one of its highest priorities, ensuring that both employees and the local community are able to work and live in a pleasant environment”.
