Air Products is challenging a trademark decision by the European court favoring a German competitor, the Messer Group.
The company is appealing the decision that gives Messer protection to use a similar trademark in the 25 European states.
The case involves the courts decision to let Messer continue to use its Inomix, Alumix and Ferromix names for its three welding gas blends, which according to Air Products are confusingly similar to its three blended welding gases; Inomaxx, Alumaxx and Ferromaxx.
