Air Products forms joint venture with Chinese chemical company

Changzhou Shanfeng Chemical Industry CO. Ltd. (CZSF) and Air Products have formed a joint venture named Air Products Shanfeng to produce TEDA for the fast growing polyurethane (PU) market in China.

The new entity is majority owned by Air Products and is headquartered at its production site in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, Eastern China, which was transferred to the joint venture company by CZSF.

The new project is part of Air Products’ strategy to build long-term infrastructure in China and to support the growth of its TEDA business by strengthening its China-based capabilities. TEDA is an important additive used to catalyse reactions to produce polyurethane foam. It is used in the end-sector in the production of furniture and automotive seating, to shoe soles.
