Air Products Foundation donates $25,000 for St. Luke’s Simulation Centre in Allentown

Air Products Foundation has awarded $25,000 for a second Simulation Centre to be built at St. Luke’s Sacred Heart Campus in Allentown, to support medical training in a safe environment.

For years, learners at St. Luke’s have benefitted from hands-on training opportunities made possible through its Simulation Centre in Bethlehem, the second centre will now expand upon those opportunities.

The Simulation and Skills Centre is a dedicated space to advance patient safety and improve patient outcomes whilst allowing health care providers to improve their procedural and clinical decision-making skills and refine their interprofessional skills.

Laurie Hackett, Director of Community Relations at Air Products, said, “When we think about the kind training and experience that we want our caregivers to have, we think about the kinds of opportunities made available through the Simulation Centres at St. Luke’s.”
