Air Products foundation donates to the Red Cross

The Air Products Foundation is making a $100,000 donation to the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund of the American Red Cross to help the recovery efforts in the heavily damaged areas of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.

Extensive damage caused by Hurricane Katrina has impacted the company’s own industrial gas complex in New Orleans and affected over 150 local employees.

John P. Jones, Air Products chairman and CEO, said: We can’t help but be moved by the devastation in the Gulf Coast area. This initial contribution is just the start.

“Air Products employees around the world have expressed a desire to help in some way. We are determining the best ways to provide humanitarian assistance options for our affected employees, retirees and the community at large.
