Air Products is looking to help food processors improve efficiency and reduce product loss with a brand-new digital intelligence system that both monitors and controls cryogenic freezers remotely.
APST, or Air Products’ Smart Technology, uses sensor and wireless communications technology to give food producers greater insight into the cryogenic freezing process.
Launched just earlier this week (13th Sep), the technology utilises live digital dashboards to allow production teams to monitor, assess and optimise freezer performance. This offers levels of connivence, efficiency and effectiveness that are new to the market.
Jon Trembley, Technology Manager for Cryogenic Applications at Air Products, said, “External challenges have meant there is even more pressure for food producers to deliver quality foods in order to meet customer demands. This is why operational efficiency and product quality have never been more important.”
