Air Products has raised more than $5.3m for the 2021-2022 United Way Campaign to support those in need throughout the Lehigh Valley and across the US, home to the industrial gas giant’s headquarters.
The company on Thursday (7th April) said its employees, retirees and the Air Products foundation has raised the funds, marking the largest single-year campaign contributed by any company in the history of the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley.
Contributions to the United Way support students, families and older adults who are in need of safe housing, education support and economic stability. Employee and retiree contributions, as well as the matching support from the Air Products Foundation, will be utilised to support programmes in the across the US.
Victoria Brifo, Senior Vice-President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Air Products, who was also a co-chair of this year’s Air Products United Way Campaign, said, “The challenges of the past year brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic greatly increased the need among families struggling across the country.”
