Air Products was recently awarded the ‘Best Social Responsibility Brand Award 2015’ at the 5th China Charity Festival, held in Beijing.
The award signifies the corporate citizenship and social responsibility of the Tier One company. Some 50 other leading companies, including Dow Chemical, Pfizer and Starbucks, were also honoured at the ceremony.
Air Products has been present in the China industrial gases market for nearly 30 years. Some of its initiatives include the LIN (liquid nitrogen) Ambassador Programme, which demonstrates the application of gas science in daily life to local schools and communities through various experiments.
It was also involved in the Shenzhen landslide in December 2015, aiding with rescue efforts through its expertise in safety and gas cylinder transformation.
