Air Products showcased its patented SmartFuel® hydrogen (H2) fuelling technology at the 11th China Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Expo held in Shanghai, China.
In an expo presentation, Frank Yu, Vice-President Eastern China, Industrial Gases at Air Products, introduced the Air Products SmartFuel H2 fuelling station, along with its H2 production and transportation solutions for lower cost, footprint reduction and safety in H2 infrastructure.
By introducing its advanced and reliable technology at the influential industry event, the company demonstrates its commitment to supporting the country’s development of H2 infrastructure and its ability to grow with the H2 market.
In China, the emerging clean energy has been incorporated into its energy strategy: H2 and fuel cell technology has been listed as disruptive technologies for leading industry innovation in the government’s 13th Five Year National Science and Technology Innovation Plan (2016-2020) and the country plans to build 100 H2 fuelling stations by 2020 and 1,000 by 2030, according to the Blueprint on China’ H2 Infrastructure Development issued in 2016.
