Air Products has supplied the world’s largest autoclave with an advanced nitrogen (N2) system.
The system, supplied to Boeing’s new 777X Composite Wing Center in Washington, US, will be used to create the inert atmosphere and rapid pressure required to form and cure large carbon fiber composite wings for the aircraft manufacturer’s new 777X commercial jetliners.
Under the scope of the agreement, the Tier One corporation also delivered three 15,000-gallon liquid tanks and a steam sparged water bath vaporisation system.
