Staff at Air Products’ Didcot site in Oxfordshire had front row seats for Guy Martin’s latest adrenaline-fuelled speed challenge, after the corporation was chosen to supply helium (He) for his latest TV stunt.
The latest episode of Speed with Guy Martin saw the professional motorcyclist attempt to become the first person to cross the English Channel in a human-powered airship, pedalling a bike suspended from a large He-filled balloon.
The Tier One player supplied the He used throughout the challenge, including for three practice attempts and the final channel crossing attempt, from its 300 bar multiple cylinder pack offering.
