Air Products has invested in new hydrogen (H2) trailers which will triple its industrial gas transport capacity around Germany.
The new fleet can transport almost 50,000 litres of H2 at once, enabling the transport of approximately three times as much as the company’s previous convoy. The industrial gas giant called this an “unrivalled transport volume.”
Air Products has used state-of-the-art gas cylinders made of lightweight composite materials and trailers that boast the largest European-approved dimensions to maximise its transport capacity,
As a result, the weight of the vehicles has been reduced by 20% overall and fuel consumption has been signifcantly lowered.
