Airgas has acquired most of the assets and operations of the Union Industrial Gas Group (UIG).
Included in the assets and operations are 14 branches in Louisiana, New Mexico, and Texas. The operations acquired had annual sales of $38m.
As part of the acquisition, Airgas has offered employment to more than 100 employees of UIG affected by the acquisition.
“We welcome UIG associates to Airgas and look forward to improving our ability to serve customers with a broad product range to meet their gases, welding and safety product needs,” said Mike Molinini, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Airgas.
