Airgas, an Air Liquide company, has opened a new safety and welding hardgoods distribution centre in Henderson, Nevada.
Situated near Las Vegas, the new site is expected to create 55 new jobs and hold over 19,000 items of stock, including safety, personal protection equipment and welding hardgoods.
Jack Appolonia, Senior Vice-President of Hardgoods Supply Chain, Procurement and Business Process at Airgas, said, “This new space gives us the ability to optimise our supply chain, better support our local branches, and add capacity to deliver to more customers. We’re looking forward to joining the Henderson community and becoming an integral part of the city’s daily life as we bring new jobs to the area.”
Construction of the distribution centre was completed in August (2022), major systems were in place by mid-September and shipping to customers began in mid-October, so the site was already up and running ahead of the formal opening.
