Airgas is expanding in the Philadelphia area after Falls Township Supervisors approved the development of a nine-acre site at Keystone Industrial Port Complex.
After a presentation and thorough review, the governing body voted unanimously to grant approval of a minor subdivision, as well as preliminary and final land development to Airgas.
Airgas, an Air Liquide company, plans to construct an air separation plant on a portion of the former US Steel property and expects to create 25 new jobs through the development at Fairless Hills.
Airgas is awaiting a permit from the Department of Environmental Protection, which officials said should be approved by mid-November.
