It wasn’t just Air Products who seized the opportunity presented by this year’s AMI International Meat, Poultry & Seafood Industry Convention and Expo. Indeed, competitor firm Airgas, Inc. used the chance to launch its new FreezeRight™ TL cryogenic freezer.
The FreezeRight™ TL addition to the firm’s cryogenic range promises to merge Airgas’ bulk gas expertise with the company’s experience in cryogenic equipment technologies to efficiently freeze a wide variety of food products.
Greg Caniglia, Director of Airgas’ Engineering Solutions Group for Merchant Gases extolled the benefits of FreezeRight™ TL’s modular design, “Our top-lifting FreezeRight TL provides high-efficiency freezing and easy access for cleaning. What really sets it apart is its modular design. The standard FreezeRight TL can be configured with from two to five modules. That provides customers with the ability to meet today’s production requirements and the flexibility to easily expand when production requirements increase.”
The new device uses liquid nitrogen or carbon dioxide to flash freeze food items. It is a single-pass linear freezer designed to maximize production rates, reduce cryogen use and enable more sanitation. Indeed, though production rates will vary according to food type, Caniglia promised that the FreezeRight TL tunnel can process more than 500 pounds of product per module hour.
