Airgas to consolidate in Houston

Local papers are reporting that Airgas Southwest is developing a plant on 13.5 acres in La Porte to consolidate its facilities in Pasadena, La Porte and Houston.

It is said that the plant will incorporate state-of-the-art cylinder-filling technology to house atmospheric and specialty gases, and hydrocarbon blends. Airgas distributes industrial, medical and specialty gases and produces nitrous oxide and dry ice.

Troy Collins of Yancey-Hausman’s Industrial Division said the development is expected to cost $10 million.
