Algeria deal secured by Mcphy

McPhy Energy, specialised in hydrogen-based solutions for energy storage and industrial applications, and Ecisgroup, an Italian engineering company that provides technological solutions for petroleum, gas and energy industries, have won their first joint contract.

Under its terms, the two partners will equip the alternator of the power plant built by the South Korean group Daewoo E&C in Algeria with a hydrogen cooling system. This 1,200mW combined cycle power plant will be commissioned in early 2015.

To address the thermal power generation markets, McPhy Energy and Ecisgroup have developed a turnkey solution that includes McPhy Energy H2 on-site equipment and Ecisgroup integration expertise.

“This joint contract with Ecisgroup opens up our industrial hydrogen activity to the promising new market of power plant cooling.
