Norwegian multinational energy company Equinor has named Anders Opedal as its new President and CEO.
Currently Equinor’s Executive Vice-President of Technology, Projects and Drilling, Opedal is set to take over the reins on 2nd November (2020) from Eldar Sætre, who retires after six years as CEO and more than 40 years in the company.
“Equinor is entering a phase of significant change as the world needs to take more forceful action to combat climate change,” said Jon Erik Reinhardsen, Chair of Equinor’s Board of Directors.
