Airgas has announced that R. Jay Worley has been named Vice President of Communications and Investor Relations, assuming responsibility for internal and external communications, in addition to retaining responsibility for the investor relations function.
Worley, who joined Airgas in 1993, will continue to report to Bob McLaughlin, Senior Vice President and CFO and McLaughlin commented, “Jay’s investor relations background and his broad experience within Airgas position him well to lead our communication efforts.”
“He is effective with multiple constituencies, and will work closely with our business units and corporate departments to enhance external and internal awareness of our business growth and development.”
Since joining the company Worley has advanced through various accounting, human resources, and sales positions before becoming the CFO of Airgas Southwest in 2001. In 2006, he moved to the corporate headquarters in Radnor as the Director of Investor Relations.
