Are your clothes carbon dioxide clean?

The Linde Group is to roll out its Fred Butler® brand across Europe – offering dry-cleaning services based on an eco-friendly process that uses carbon dioxide.

Over the next five years, Fred Butler® franchisers aim to establish thousands of new jobs across Europe, and do some good for the environment. Linde have been showing off their environmental credentials of late and happily announced their new method has been awarded Blue Angel environmental certification by Matthias Machnig, State Secretary of the Federal German Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. The green approach comes from the Fred Butler® method using recycled carbon dioxide, not chemicals to clean clothes. Therefore, it is not only more environmentally friendly, but also far gentler on clothes than conventional dry-cleaning techniques.
