Japanese manufacturer Asahi Seisakusho has doubled its original production capacity by introducing a new facility.
The increasing demand for compressed air and cylinders has enabled Asahi Seisakusho to expand their production capacity.
The new facility, which began operation in August, will produce 40,000 fibre reinforced plastics (FRP) composite cylinders a year. The facility was manufactured in the US and is an upgraded product that coincides with the improvements made to the existing US cylinder facilities.
Other advantages of the new facility are that while one facility is in operation the other can be used for product development, and cylinders made with glass and carbon fibre can be produced simultaneously at each facility. This improves efficiency as in the past glass and carbon fibre were produced in turn.
