Asco delivers dry ice plant for Italy’s DMH

As the new majority shareholder in both Asco Carbon Dioxide Ltd. in New Zealand and Asco Kohlensäure AG, the Messer Group has revealed that Asco has been chosen to provide services for the demands of one of Italy’s dry ice manufacturers.

DMH produces dry ice for catering purposes from its Rome and Milan facilities, which each produce around eight tonnes per day for its airline catering customers. Under a turnkey project, Asco has installed a complete dry ice plant for DMH.

“The only thing that is more rock solid than dry ice is our cordial association with Asco,” says Dr Alessandro de Montis, CEO at DMH S.R.L.

Making sure the refrigeration chain remains unbroken is a high priority in airline catering and Messer notes that for flights departing from Italian airports, this job is normally entrusted to dry ice from Asco Carbon Dioxide Ltd.
