At the drawing-board for LNG in Argentina

Argentina has revealed plans to establish a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) re-gasification terminal.
The South American country plans to enforce the new development through a partnership agreement with Qatar.

Argentine President, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner announced plans when speaking to the Qatari Businessmen League in January 2011.

During discussions, the President told attendees that the new terminal will offer an annual capacity of 5m tonnes, and in doing so, is hoped to enhance development of the gases industry in Argentina.
