Finnish turbine manufacturer Aurelia has shipped its new A400 turbine from its factory in Lappeenranta, Finland to a client near Bremen in northern Germany.
Time sensitive special permits are required to transport the turbine to the site, meaning the company must oversee all parts of delivery from collection, through sea passage, to road haulage through Germany. The turbine can use a range of gases including natural gas, hydrogen, biogas, synthetic gases and other fuels.
The delivery is part of the H2020 EU grant funded Futurbine project, an effort to support Aurelia’s growth strategy and further its commercialisation activities for global market entry, in addition to showcasing the flexibility of the A400.
Boasting a 40% electric efficiency rating, the turbine itself has a power rating of 400 kW (kilowatts) and is claimed by Aurelia to be the most efficient solution in the market for small-scale processes and the SME industry.
