Liquefied natural gas (LNG) expert Baker Hughes has announced that it has been awarded a contract by Bechtel to provide its turbine and compressor technology for the Pluto Train 2 LNG train project in Australia.
Baker Hughes’ high-efficiency gas turbines and centrifugal compressors will support expansion of the Woodside-operated Pluto LNG processing facility.
For the project, the company will provide six LM6000PF+ aeroderivative gas turbines and 14 centrifugal compressors for the main refrigerant train, in addition to supplying a gas turbine generator to the existing Train 1 power system.
