Ballard Power Systems has signed a follow-on contract with a major automotive original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to provide its technology for fuel cell vehicle (FCV) engine development.
Under the extended Technology Solutions agreement, Ballard will provide its proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell technology to advance the anonymous customer’s membrane electrode assembly (MEA) development programme.
This project aims to advance future versions of the automotive OEM’s engine for FCVs.
The MEA-related work will be undertaken by Ballard engineers and test technicians in conjunction with the OEM’s in-house fuel cell technical team.
