Ballard Power Systems has received a purchase order from Northern Ireland-based bus manufacturer, Wrightbus.
Through the order, Ballard will provide Wrightbus with 20 FCveloCity®-HD 85-kilowatt fuel cell modules to power London buses under the Joint Initiative for Hydrogen Vehicles Across Europe (JIVE) funding programme.
Transport for London (TfL) announced last week that it will be investing £12m ($15.7m) in 20 buses manufactured by Wrightbus.
