Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd’s (Bhel) Works Engineering & Central Services Division has recently commissioned a new cryogenic air separation plant in Bhopal.
The plant has been built on a built-own-operate-maintain (BOOM) basis and will save the industrial goods manufacturer thousands of dollars annually in the costs to procure oxygen and nitrogen from third parties.
The plant was installed and commissioned within the given time period of six months and has started production, the company said.
The minimum purity of oxygen and nitrogen gas produced in this new plant will be 99.5% for oxygen and 99.95% for nitrogen.
