BJ services awarded with a $8m contract

BJ Services Company Middle East Ltd has been awarded a contract by Karachaganak Petroleum Operation B.V (KPO) to provide leak-testing services in Kazakhstan.

BJ Process and pipeline services personnel will provide critical nitrogen purging and nitrogen or helium leak detection testing services as part of the scheduled shutdown and commissioning programme for the Karachaganak Processing Complex (KPC). These activities will be carried out during shutdowns, modifications and expansions of the facility near Aksai, Kazakhstan.

The three-year contract, which includes two one-year extensions, has an estimated value in excess of US$8m.

BJ PPS has already begun work under the contract for KPO.
