US-based Blue Star Helium (Blue Star) has confirmed the discovery of high concentration air-free helium at its JXSN#4 well on its Galactica/Pegasus prospect in Las Animas Country, Colorado.
Having previously announced its successful drilling operation to a depth of 1,043 feet, encountering the upper and lower Lyons sands, Blue Star has received and analysed both log and flow data.
Following analysis of comingled (upper and lower Lyons) gas samples most representative of reservoir gas from two different analyses, the company revealed that air-free helium of 6.06% and 4.20% was discovered.
“We are delighted to have returned high-concentration helium from JXSN#4,” commented Trent Spry, Managing Director, CEO, Blue Star. “This is the fourth consecutive helium discovery on the Galactica/Pegasus field in the targeted Lyons formation.”
