During a successful drilling operation on its Galactica prospect in Las Animas County, Colorado, helium exploration company Blue Star Helium Limited (Blue Star) encountered both the upper and lower Lyons sand, which both flowed gas to the surface.
The JXSN#4 exploration well was drilled to a final total depth (TD) of 1,043 feet on 27th September, with a preliminary gas composition analysis showing 6.5% helium (He).
Blue Star has stated that additional gas samples will be delivered to a second laboratory for composition analysis, which is expected to be returned within the next two weeks.
