Exploration specialist Blue Star Helium (Blue Star) has outlined the development plan for its Las Animas project in Colorado, USA, which will see the company appointing a US mid-stream party to produce helium from its Voyager high-grade discovery.
Currently amid lease contract negotiations with the midstream company’s processing facility in the US, the third-party operator was selected by Blue Star as a solution that delivers attractive returns and enables low-risk access to premium-priced spot helium markets.
Commenting on the announcement, Trent Spry, Managing Director and CEO of Blue Star, said, “We have evaluated multiple options for our initial project developments in Las Animas. These included new builds, the purchase and refurbishing of used facilities, and lease options.”
