Blue Star Helium fast-tracks Voyager prospect; appoints SIGIT to assist planned developments

Blue Start Helium is fast-tracking plans Voyager prospect in Las Animas County, Colorado, following the ‘breakthrough’ success of its exploratory water well returning a 134ft gas column in the Lyons formation with a calculated air-free helium concentration of 8.8%.

The Australian exploration company today (10th May) shared its success, stating that it has now appointed consulting engineer SIGIT Operating Company to prepare a plan of development for its portfolio.

According to fast-track plans, SIGIT will develop an initial front-end engineering and design (FEED) study for a helium processing facility at the Voyager prospect. As well as this, SIGIT will also plant asset optimisation and gather system designs.

It is hoped work on the FEED study will begin this quarter for a facility located in the east for the Galactica, Pegasus and Serenity prospects. Completion of the plan of development is expected for Q3 2022.
