BMA Liquid Air Oxygen sets up oxygen plant in Nagaland

In order to cater to the needs of people living in India’s North Eastern states, independent enterprise BMA Liquid Air Oxygen/Cylinders has set up a small-scale oxygen manufacturing plant in Dimapur.

The plant is designed and developed by incorporating state-of-the-art technology in order to make it perform as per the plants of national standards. Based on a fully automatic purification unit, it has the capacity to fill 5,000 cylinders per day.

Speaking on the new manufacturing plant, Bendangmeren Imti Aier, entrepreneur and owner of the plant, said that the idea to set up an oxygen plant in Nagaland State started when the state faced oxygen shortages due to the Karbi Anglong/Assam blockade. The company currently supplies oxygen cylinders for medical use to private hospitals in Nagaland, Assam and Manipur states.

With the commissioning of the plant, Nagaland has four such oxygen facilities in the state. Aier emphasised that BMA Liquid Air Oxygen was 99.5 % pure, tested and approved by the national oxygen testing laboratory of the Government of India.
