BOC Medical Gases’ oxygen cylinders were found on sale on the internet auction site eBay.
According to Daily Mail tabloid newspaper the equipment was leased from the industrial gas company and therefore unable to be sold.
On eBay, bids for the defibrillator reached £466.68 and for the pulse oximeter £102. The items were not handed over.
The Britt who tried to sell the lifesaving equipment claimed he was driven to do so because of debt he owed.
