Gasworld recently attended BOC Gases Ireland’s seminar and equipment demonstration day, which provided food processors and other interested parties with valuable information on emerging gas technologies in the food sector.
The one-day event, held at the Ashtown Food Research Centre in Dublin, was put together by BOC Gases Ireland, who worked with other major players in the Irish food industry, such as MULTIVAC and Alert Packaging.
The event was also in partnership with Teagasc, the agriculture and food development authority in Ireland.
It offered delegates comprehensive presentations on various subjects, including freezing and cooling technologies, modified atmosphere packaging (MAP), and refrigerants.
In addition, BOC had brought a tunnel freezer all the way from Sweden, which was on display for delegates to look at, and there were several exhibitors giving information on their specialities.
