BOC to supply renewable industrial gases to Australian food and beverage sector

A power purchase agreement (PPA) has been signed between gas and engineering company, BOC, a subsidiary of Linde plc, and energy from waste facility Avertas Energy and Shell Energy.

The 5-year agreement with Avertas Energy will contribute to BOC reducing its greenhouse gas emissions nationally by 16% following the purchase of large-scale generation certificates from the Kwinana-based energy from waste facility starting 1st January 2023.

Another factor in reducing GHG emissions is the energy retail agreement with Shell Energy. Under this, BOC will start receiving electricity for its Kwinana and Canningvale sites from mid-2022.
