Leading compression technology specialist Burckhardt Compression (Burckhardt) has announced that its order intake since 1st April 2022 has passed one billion Swiss francs (CHF, equivalent to $1.1bn), setting a new milestone for the company.
The feat comes just weeks after Burckhardt revealed that it had recorded ‘extraordinary growth’ in orders in the first half of fiscal year 2022 with CHF 706.7m ($761m), a 57% increase in comparison with the previous year period.
According to the company, since 1st October, it has continued to win large orders for applications related to solar panels, liquefied natural gas (LNG) ships and within the petrochemical industry – adding up to more than CHF 1bn ($1.1bn) since the start of the fiscal year.
“We were aiming to reach the one-billion-order-intake mark since years [sic]’, commented Fabrice Billard, CEO of Burckhardt. “With the launch of new products and the development of new applications in close collaboration with our customers, as well as the strong growth of our service business over the past years, we have now achieved this symbolic milestone.”
