Burckhardt Compression has received a diaphragm compressor order for a new 2MW green hydrogen production plant under development in Switzerland.
Sharing news of the order today (June 14), the company said the ordered system is designed for hydrogen mobility applications and capable of discharging hydrogen at a high pressure and high purity, suitable for fuel cells.
Switzerland-based H2 Energy placed the order as part of an important step towards the development of green hydrogen infrastructure in Switzerland.
Using the diaphragm compressor system manufactured by Burckhardt, the hydrogen processed via a PEM electrolyser will be filled into Hydrospider swap trailers, 450 bar hydrogen vessels that will supply hydrogen fuelling stations across Switzerland.
