Calor brings the UK’s public LNG refuelling station toll to nine after instating two more near Nottingham

Calor Gas, the UK’s leading supplier of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), has plans underway to bring another two publically accessible liquefied natural gas (LNG) stations to UK roads.

In conjunction with Moto Hospitality, the UK’s largest provider of motorway service areas, the companies will base the stations at Moto’s Donnington Park and Grantham services on the M1 near Nottingham, which will bring the UK’s toll of public LNG refuelling stations to nine.

Service from the sites, which will be 24/7, is expected to start up in the coming months and will cater for the heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) using the country’s motorways.

Mark Gilks, Calor Sales Manager for LNG Transportation, signified, “With the potential for offering significant cost and CO2 reductions, not to mention clean-air benefits, LNG is enjoying increased popularity as a fuel for HGVs and shipping.”
