Compressed gas storage system specialist Calvera has signed an equipment supply deal with environmental technology expert Envor Protech Oy as part of a European biogas expansion project.
Under the agreement, the Spanish company will dispatch 19 of its NG-Pod equipment units to a new plant being built in Finland, with further deliveries to follow in the coming weeks.
Under a €1.2bn ($1.3bn) investment, Envor Protech is currently developing the first biogas plant in the world to utilise waste water sludge from a forest harvesting and paper mill plant site in the biogas production and purification process.
