Due to increasing customer demand for a cost effective single gas SF6 analyser, Cambridge Sensotec has released the Rapidox 3100C IR SF6 SGM – the firm’s latest single gas mains analyser.
Measuring SF6 is important when controlling and monitoring the amount of SF6 in gas insulated substations and circuit breakers. The new analyser promises to measure SF6 over the full range using a German engineered infra-red SF6 sensor. This sensor boasts high accuracy and stability when measuring the purity of SF6. According to Cambridge Sensotec, all SF6 readings can be data-logged internally and stable readings can be obtained in just a few minutes.
Furthermore, the analysers have a gas output nozzle allowing all sampled gas to by recovered and recycled in accordance with the Kyoto treaty.
The device itself can be supplied as a bench style instrument or as a kit within a rugged transportation case. This kit includes DILO compatible sampling hoses, couplings and a printer. A low cost SF6 recovery bag can also be provided to ensure no gas is lost or leaked into the atmosphere.
