Canyon Midstream purchases Honeywell cryogenic technology for NGL recovery

Canyon Midstream Partners II, LLC has purchased cryogenic technology from Honeywell International Inc. to recover natural gas liquids in a new plant in the US.

Canyon Midstream will use UOP Russell modular cryogenic equipment at the site, which will process 200 million standard cubic feet per day of gas at its Redcliff Midstream processing facility in Woodward County, Oklahoma.

The cryogenic units will extract high-value natural gas liquids (NGLs) from natural gas streams by refrigeration to extremely low temperatures. NGLs, like ethane, propane and butanes, are typically used for heating or to manufacture plastics, chemicals and fuels.
