Carabinieri police get first hydrogen-powered car

The first Italian police hydrogen (H2) car has been delivered to the Trentino-Alto Adige Carabinieri Legion Carabinieri police in Bolzano.

The Hyundai ix35 Fuel Cell was given to the the Trentino-Alto Adige Carabinieri Legion Commander for use until 31st August 2018 at a hand-off ceremony this week. Present at the ceremony was A22’s CEO, Walter Pardatscher, President of A22, Andrea Girardi, General Technical Manager, Carlo Costa, and Commander of the Carabinieri Trentino Alto Adige Legion, Brigade Massimo Mennitti.

Handing over the keys, Walter Pardatscher, said, “The Brenner Motorway has always maintained close ties with the Order’s forces located in the area, with the aim of ensuring maximum safety on the highway and in the surrounding areas. ”
