This article on CO2 usage in the food industry is one in a series for the applications which are predominant and important in the carbon dioxide industry.
This month’s magazine theme is on electronics, however, when I think about such specific industrial applications, to my knowledge the application in the electronics sector is minor.
The application of CO2 in electronics may perhaps include some sales of CO2 dry ice rice in the pressure cleaning sector for electronic components, and perhaps some use in temperature reduction applications for the electronics sector; however, the later item is achieved via LIN, not CO2.
There may be future developments for CO2 usage of a significant nature in the electronics arena, however, today I think this is generally minor, by definition. Therefore, since I do not see electronics as a historically significant market for CO2, I am writing this month on CO2 usage in the food industry.
