Virgin Group has today launched its new rewards club, Virgin Red, through which members can directly support the development of Carbon Engineering’s direct air capture (DAC) technology.
The announcement is all part of a new sustainability partnership between the two companies, that presents Virgin Red members with the opportunity to spend their Virgin Points to direct support the advancement of the carbon removal technology, as well as Carbon Engineering’s activities.

In a statement, Virgin said it already has plans to evolve the programme early next year.
