Air Products Group (Air Products) company Carburos Metálicos (Carburos) has successfully completed testing of its first hydrogen (H2) bus in Galicia, Spain, paving the way for the region to integrate zero emissions technology into its public transport network.
Having taken place between March 7th – 23rd, the circulation and refuelling test saw the H2-powered bus travel around 200km per day on the A Coruña – city centre bus line in Culleredo.
Aiming to decarbonise the hard-to-abate urban transport sector, the test was designed to illustrate the maturity of hydrogen technology, in addition to showcasing its potential to help meet net zero energy transition objectives laid out by the Spanish Government.
