Carlton Power reveals plans to establish hydrogen hub in Southwest UK

UK-based developer of energy infrastructure, Carlton Power, has unveiled plans to build its third green hydrogen plant on the grounds of the Langage Energy Park near Plymouth, Devon.

With a capacity of 10MW (megawatts), the plant will provide local companies with easy access to hydrogen, a fuel source predicted to play an essential role in the country’s pathway to decarbonisation and Net Zero. 

The first of its kind in Devon and Cornwall, the project has seen its first phase secure planning consent from South Hams District Council along with support by the Heart of the South West Local Enterprise Partnership and Regen, the region’s low-carbon energy organisation.
